Notes
- Feel free to double, triple, or even quadruple this recipe. Super easy to make for guests.
- You can easily swap out lime juice for lemon, orange, or grapefruit juice. Play around and see which one you like best.
- Instead of maple syrup, feel free to use either honey, date syrup, or even simple syrup if you wish.
- To make this mocktail completely sugar-free, you can swap out the maple syrup sweetener for a few drops of liquid stevia or 1 tablespoon of monkfruit.
- It is important to add the ginger beer as your very last step - after you have used your shaker. This keeps the fizz and carbonation fresh.
- This is a mocktail, a non-alcoholic drink. However, if you'd like to add alcohol, vodka, gin, or tequila would be the best choices.
- To make this mocktail in advance, prepare the steps all the way up to shaking the mixture. Then, instead of pouring it into a rock glass, remove the muddled mint leaves, and keep the rest in the mason jar with a tight-fitting lid. Store it in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
- When you are ready to make your mocktail, continue with the recipe by pouring the mason jar mixture into a rock glass filled with crushed ice. Then pour over the ginger beer, garnish, and enjoy!
