In a small sauce pan, or microwave, heat the plant-based milk until hot but not boiling. Stir often to prevent burning.
Measure out the Golden Milk, OR the individual spices, and sift through the fine mesh strainer into your mug.
Add a little bit of water, or milk, to the spices in your mug and, using the whisk, stir vigorously until all the spices are combined and there are no clumps.
If using the milk frother, froth the milk until desired consistency.
Pour the hot milk into your mug.
Add the vanilla, maple syrup, and black pepper. Stir until combined.
