Method
- In a small saucepan or microwave, heat the plant-based milk until hot but not boiling. Stir often to prevent burning.
- Measure out the individual spices, and sift through a fine mesh strainer into your favorite mug.

- Add just a bit of water to the mug and whisk until all the spices are smooth and without clumps.

- If using the milk frother, froth the milk until desired consistency.
- Pour the hot milk into your mug.

- Add the vanilla, maple syrup, and a pinch of black pepper. Stir until combined.
- Top off with a sprinkle of cinnamon or even a small dollop of dairy-free whipped cream for an extra indulgence!
- Enjoy!

Notes
- For this golden milk recipe, I like to use creamy dairy-free milk such as unsweetened soy or cashew milk but feel free to use any type of milk you desire.
- Instead of maple syrup, feel free to use any type of natural sweetener you prefer such as honey, date syrup, stevia, or monkfruit.
- It is best to sift your spices through a fine mesh strainer. This prevents the spices from clumping.
- Using a whisk is very helpful. A whisk helps to break up any clumps and blend the spices easily.
- Everyone has their own personal preference so feel free to tweak this recipe according to your desired taste.
- DIY turmeric lattes are also called golden milk lattes because of the yellow/golden color the curcumin in the turmeric makes. Be careful not to get this drink on your clothes though because the turmeric definitely does stain!
- Turmeric lattes are best to drink right after you’ve made them. That said, you could let your latte cool down, and then pour it over ice if you prefer your Vegan Turmeric Golden Latte cold.
